Balakan Duty Free Shop started its operation on August 31, 2017. The duty free shop was established in the northwestern part of Azerbaijan, on the border with Georgia- in Balakan district.

Consisting of three shops, one on the traffic lane, and others on the pedestrian border crossing, Balakan Duty Free Shop has a 293- square meter total area and a 73-square meter shopping area.
